This (PD)  seems to be crashing not long after load or just on load in 1.6.1

This does not happen on 1.6 same settings and pluggins  :-?

The demo has looped about 10 times over here on default settings and not a single crash.

I did encounter an error but it wouldn't cause a crash.
It's the error that was spotted first in Fifa64, possibly related to a way of accessing SRAM that isn't emulated.

This issue isn't game related.
In fact it's part of something I have never seen before.

When you load a game there is actually a message on the bar at the bottom that briefly has "Loaded - name of the file".
If you disable start emulation when rom is opened you can get a better view of this message.

Now the issue is that the message can't be longer than 70 characters or else PJ64 crashes.
My quick fix is to just increase that limit to 300 characters, it should be well beyond what is needed for temporary storage.

This actually has me wondering how many other problems like this exist.
I may try to rewrite these as I see them but I don't know how difficult or cumbersome that will be.

PJ64 1.6 is fine because it was built on Visual Studio 6, which seems to be a bit friendlier with unsafe code.
That said I still believe that building with a newer version of Visual Studio is better because issues like these will crop up and they can be fixed.

The attached build contains the quick fix for this issue and the fix for the gamefaq issue Gent brought up.
