HSV Adventure Racing (A) Issue
« on: August 23, 2011, 08:08:20 PM »
A Pain Game this all i seem to get is a:

SP DMA WRITE
SP_DRAM_ADDR_REG not in RDRam space.

and of course if you are lucky to get it into a race then it locks up/freezes.

These are the current settings in the RDB

Code: [Select]
[72611D7D-9919BDD2-C:58]
Good Name=HSV Adventure Racing (A)
Internal Name=HSV ADVENTURE RACING
RDRAM Size=4
CPU Type=Recompiler
Self-modifying code Method=Change Memory
Use TLB=Yes
Counter Factor=2
Save Type=First Save Type
Linking=Global
Reg Cache=Yes
Use Large Buffer=No
Status=Region issue
Core Note=
Plugin Note=[rsp] unstable;use (U) ROM [video] errors:various (see GameFAQ)
Delay SI=No
SP Hack=No
Audio Signal=No

If i disable Register Caching i then end up with an unhandled opcode RSP Unknown error

Do me a favor and recheck this game.
I just ran the first lap (Coventry Cove) just fine on fullscreen.

I did get a memory leak report at the end that I will look at one day... but I wonder if anything was done to fix this game aside from that setting.
I don't even recall what setting that was, sadly.

I re checked this without an issue hmmm

Obviously i would like to be able to check all races which we cant at the moment because of some tracks missing video and other preventing proper play.  If i get some saves sorted out, we can get Ice to have a look at those trouble spots?

Edit: OK I have done a video of Beetle Adventure Racing which of course has the same issues as HSV Adventure Racing. This shows the issues with Jabo D3D8 1.6.1, Jabo D3D6 1.5.2 (Less issues than 1.6.1) and Then TR64 OGL v10 (this has no Gridding issues like 1.6.1, but shares it's cars/tress/other texture issues) also is very slow on FPS in parts)

We are really happy to show HSV Adventure Racing working fully without core issue on Project64 1.6.1 (Legacy)

Prior to Legacy this was Beetle Adventure Racing/HSV Adventure Racing Status:

core PAL versions (E)/(A): RSP unstable (SP DMA errors, crashing in rsp.dll, unhandled opcodes etc), no fix known, use the (U)/(J) NTSC ROMs, those seem stable.

This is a video of The entire Advance Level being cleared.

Obviously using Jabo D3D6 1.5.2 Video Plugin still has major issues, but we are hoping our very own Icepir8 will soon have that addressed and to perfection  >:D<

I still want to know when and how this was fixed  #-o
I *think* I may have done a bit of work (emphasis on bit!) for some of the rsp stuff in the core but I didn't think I'd done anything major enough to affect a game like thisl
