TR64 OGL v10 New Features

Introducing the new features in TR64 OGL v10 Video Plugin.

In the uCode Tab, you can find the 'New feature' Screen Refresh Mode (drop-down menu) which allows you select when the screen is refreshed during game play.

The two modes available at this time are:

Refresh screen on VI origin change:
  • This draws the frame buffer that the VI Origin register is pointing at. This is the default mode.

Refresh screen on CI address change:
  • This draws the last frame buffer rendered to by the game.
In most games, this will not make a visible difference.Conker's Bad Fur Day  however, needs the VI origin mode because it renders the shadows to a frame buffer.

When set to CI address mode:
  • Conker's will flash because it is trying to display the frame buffer used for shadows.
  • The World Is Not Enough (TWINE) needs to use CI address mode, because The frame buffer is being cleared before the VI origin mode displays it. When left on default (VI origin mode) the Loading blue cut scenes are not displayed.
